Yemeni Army Repels Houthi Attack in Taiz and Targets Militant Gatherings with Drones

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom: Yemeni government forces on Saturday announced that they had foiled a Houthi attack on military positions along the Al-Aqroudh front in Taiz Governorate, while army drones struck Houthi gatherings at two locations in the governorate. The army-affiliated September Net website reported that clashes erupted following a Houthi attack on government forces’ positions along the Al-Aqroudh front. The fighting lasted several hours before government forces, backed by popular resistance fighters, managed to repel the assault and force the attackers to withdraw, inflicting casualties on their ranks. In a separate field development, drones operated by government forces carried out strikes targeting Houthi gatherings in the Asfal Al-Najd area of Al-Misrakh District and another position in the Al-Saher area, according to the same source. The fronts in Taiz Governorate continue to witness intermittent clashes between government forces and the Houthi group, amid ongoing military tensions in several parts of the governorate.
