Yemen Monitor / Newsroom: The Yemeni army announced that it had carried out 875 strikes on Houthi positions, gatherings and military reinforcements in recent hours as part of an operation dubbed “Dawn of Yemen,” saying preliminary field assessments indicated that around 130 Houthi leaders and fighters had been neutralized and 50 military vehicles and pieces of equipment destroyed or disabled. The official spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid Abdullah Al-Nuzaili, said the operations were conducted with support from fighter jets, drones and artillery. They targeted Houthi positions, movements, firing positions and military equipment across several fronts. Al-Nuzaili said fighting continued in Taiz governorate, where government forces, backed by popular resistance fighters, repelled Houthi attacks and targeted the group’s movements and positions along various fronts. In Marib and Al-Jawf governorates, units from the Emergency Forces, the Nation’s Shield Forces and forces affiliated with the military regions, alongside popular resistance fighters, carried out strikes against Houthi gatherings and reinforcements. Meanwhile, government forces, supported by the Nation’s Shield Forces, the Giants Brigades and the National Resistance Forces, continued operations on the southern and western fronts to counter Houthi movements and attacks. The military spokesman said preliminary estimates of Houthi losses included around 130 leaders and fighters, as well as 50 vehicles, military equipment and rocket-launching platforms that had been destroyed or disabled. He stressed that the armed forces would continue their operations to achieve the objectives of “Dawn of Yemen,” while taking the necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
