Yemen Monitor | Newsroom: The Yemeni Armed Forces said 60 civilians, including children, were killed or wounded when Houthi forces struck the village of al-Mukhaffaf in the Al-Aqroud area of Taiz province with a ballistic missile. The military said the attack marked an escalation following a similar strike on another village in the province. The Armed Forces Media Centre said the strike on al-Mukhaffaf came hours after Houthi forces fired a ballistic missile at the village of al-Sulaiha, in the Abdan district on the eastern front of Taiz city. The missile was reportedly launched from the direction of Mawiyah district. On the battlefield, the media centre said army forces operating under the Taiz military axis, backed by the Popular Resistance, repelled a Houthi attack in the Habil al-Sarm area of the Al-Aqroud front, in Al-Misrakh district. The statement said the clashes left one soldier dead and 14 others wounded. It added that the attacking forces suffered heavy losses in personnel and military equipment.
