Yemen Monitor | Newsroom: The Yemeni army said on Tuesday that it was continuing offensive operations east of Al-Jawf province and south of Al-Hazm, the provincial capital in northeastern Yemen, with support from warplanes and drones. The army’s media center said the offensive was being conducted alongside operations to sweep cleared positions and remove mines, explosive devices and other obstacles planted by the Houthi group. It added that government forces were targeting fortifications and trenches while pressing their advance towards the Dahidha Mountains, east of Al-Hazm. According to the statement, the army seized weapons and ammunition during the clashes, while Houthi fighters suffered casualties. It added that warplanes and drones had struck Houthi fortifications, troop concentrations and weapons depots, inflicting losses and destroying military vehicles. The media center said army forces had also engaged Houthi fighters in fierce clashes along front lines southeast of Al-Hazm, inflicting casualties on the group and destroying or disabling several combat vehicles.
